The Biogen team can be a resource for patients when they have questions about starting treatment, managing common side effects, and navigating financial assistance.
Biogen Case Managers are here to help patients continue on their Biogen treatment once prescribed. Support is available through a variety of services, including financial assistance, patient status updates to your office, and more. Support is also available in Spanish.
Biogen Nurse Educators can help your patients who are prescribed a Biogen therapy start treatment. They help patients understand what to expect, give additional information to help manage common side effects, and provide education about available resources. They can also come to your office and educate your staff on the role of Biogen Nurse Educators and the services they offer. In addition, they can provide feedback on how your patients are doing on their Biogen treatment.
Financial & Insurance Assistance is designed to help your patients start and continue on therapy even if cost may be a concern. We have tools to help your patients based on their individual needs. We offer a variety of resources to help your patients navigate insurance and connect them with a variety of financial resources, including:
*Depending on income or, in some cases, if medication is obtained from an out-of-network provider, there may be an annual cap that limits the amount of assistance that patients can receive over 1 year. Federal and state laws and other factors may prevent or otherwise restrict eligibility. People covered by Medicare, Medicaid, the VA/DoD, or any other federal plans are not eligible to enroll. Patients may be eligible to enroll in the Biogen Copay Program for as long as it is offered and as long as they are treated with a Biogen relapsing MS medication.
TECFIDERA has preferred formulary coverage by many of the country’s top insurance providers for your patients with relapsing MS with no step-therapy restrictions. It is therefore available for treatment-naive patients, as well as patients converting from another product.
†Coverage may vary, and there is no guarantee of coverage.
